As you know, the state of Alabama is committed to increasing the numbers of underrepresented groups in the the Gifted and Talented program. That is why we have Second Grade Child Find and why it is essential to understand how giftedness exhibits itself across cultures. This is an excellent reminder that we need to continue to cast that broader net - in our classrooms, the county and the state.
